You may wish to refer to the outline program (pdf) to see how the conference will be structured.  Please note that the registration rates do not include accommodation, which should be booked separately.  If you wish to stay at Chancellors we encourage you to reserve as soon as possible as accommodation there is limited - see the separate accommodation section on this website.

We offer the following registration rates:-

  • a normal registration rate for the full conference, including lunch on Thursday 29 May and Friday 30 May and the reception/dinner on Thursday 29 May.
  • a reduced registration rate for graduate students and early career researchers for the full conference, including the elements above.
  • rates which allow you to register separately for the different days of the conference and for the reception/dinner, if you do not plan to attend the whole of the conference. Accompanying persons are welcome at the reception/dinner and can also be registered.
  • rates for our optional trip to Quarry Bank Mill on the afternoon of Friday 30 May.
  • registration fees include an annual membership in the Economic and Business History Society.

For the Quarry Bank Mill visit, if you are a member of the National Trust, the National Trust of Scotland, or one of the other bodies which have reciprocal membership rights (see www.nationaltrust.org.uk/membership/joining-from-abroad/), you can register at the lower rate, but you must be able to produce a current membership card on entry, so please remember to bring it with you. Numbers for this visit are limited to 50. If demand for places exceeds this we will endeavour to accommodate all those who want to visit, but we will give preference on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.

We remind you that we require all delegates to register by 7 May 2014.  Failure to register by this date will result in deletion of your paper from the program.

We will be compiling the detailed conference program over the coming weeks and will make a detailed draft program available as soon as possible. If you have constraints on your availability, please advise the Program Chair, Mark Billings, as soon as possible. Otherwise we will assume you are available to present your paper on all three days of the conference.
